I'm originally from a small town in Indiana. From a young
age I was always into not just art, but music as well.
Growing up I learned how to play percussion, the piano,
as well as being a vocalist.
Through my music I was able to work with the Musical
Ambassadors which gave me a chance to travel to Europe.
While there we engaged with young and undeserved audiences
whose people have very few opportunities to meet American
performers and experience their music first hand.
My college years were spend at the University of Southern
Colorado. Shortly after graduation is when I moved to the
east coast in search of fame and fortune in NYC (HaHa). After a few filler jobs and getting adjusted to the area, I began teaching art to children but never gave up pursuing my own art as well.
Traveling has always been another love of mine. I feel it helps to inspire me in all areas of my life. My music and art come from these experiences as well as the fun I have in new locations while snorkeling and scuba diving. It also helps me teach my kids how different the earth and cultures are since I have been lucky enough to experience a lot first hand.
With my art I have received a gold key award, held a few art shows and participated in several art challenges.
I do commissioned portrait work in pencil and paint. My line of banks are animals all wheel thrown; no molds, and original. Some of my pottery is more sculptural and funky.
I have done some graphics for Sound Earth cleaning products.
My summers are spent teaching children and running an art program at a high end camp in Westchester as well as helping Girl scout troops earn their art badge.
Volunteering is also very important to me. I feel that all of society should learn how to give back. I have worked with PTA, Guilds and churches by donating time and pieces of art.
